Course Description:

Piping Design Engineering is one of the most important disciplines in engineering. It has a wide and valuable scope across industries such as oil & gas, chemical, power, and more. This discipline is responsible for the sizing and selection of all fittings used in these plants. Piping engineers develop complete piping layouts, supports, isometric drawings, piping GA (General Arrangement) drawings, and other critical plant layouts. They also prepare datasheets for equipment related to piping systems.

A mechanical engineer, chemical engineer, or any engineering graduate who wishes to work as a piping design engineer must acquire specialized skills. College education alone is not sufficient to make them industry-ready.
